Fragmented Caucasian Rug with ‘Memling’ gul field and border.
Age: 19th century
Condition: Central section missing so ‘cut and shut’. Just washed, no colour run, great colours and palette, no staining. Uneven wear, full pile in places, foundation showing in many places, damage to sides and ends – see photos. Patched in small areas. Wool pile and warps, cotton wefts.
